Construction Management Program

Question: Discuss about the Construction Management Program. Answer: Introduction: IBL is a new technique of learning which has created a great impact all around the world (Jarvis, 2013). This essay discusses the outcomes as well as the procedures of the IBL training and my personal benefit from this course. Different levels of learning outcomes are discussed in this essay and it eventually provide an in depth analysis of industry based learning. The activities, strategies and the work culture during my tenure of course with, New Zealand Fresh Water Ltd is thoroughly discussed in the essay. The first part of the essay discusses my general experience of learning. During the collaborative assessment procedure, I learnt about the basic requirements of my employer and about my skills. Being customer oriented or focused and having self-confidence are necessary skills that one should have (Stephenson Yorke, 2013). Adopting the work culture and working according to the surrounding environment is also important. While working for the organization I learned about handling different situations and working according to it (Hardie Love, 2103). I discovered about my standards and capabilities during my IBL training duration. I learnt about my good listening capability, my positive attitude of problem solving, my good bond with my fellow colleagues and so on. However, I connected my learning experience with my practical knowledge and in future, I wish to take up some good accountant jobs in private sectors. The achievements that made me proud are my professional attitude towards wo rk and my skill of time management. On the contrary I am not happy with my inability work in a proper business manner and to make perfect business presentations. The industry based training helped me a lot to gain expertise in calculation of service tax and accounts which will help me in near future. However, the second part of the essay presents my personal experience. Initially I was not confident about my working environment, but gradually I developed a likeness for my organization. I got some good colleagues to work with and that helped me adjust with the new organization. However, my initial expectation was that, I would get chance to interact with my clients but that did not happen. Rather, it was the same set of task that I had to perform regularly and at times it was quite monotonous. The working experience helped me a lot to collaborate my theoretical knowledge with my practical knowledge. I also learnt that besides being a good listener it is also important to share my views and ideas and for this I need to stress on my English speaking capability. I discovered that I have the ability to become a successful account through this work placement. I also understood the importance of learning and development and this I will do by reading various accounts book (Linville et al ., 2016). The industry based learning helped me a lot in gathering practical knowledge and know-how. The last portion of the essay discusses my experience of the work culture and environment. My colleagues were extremely supportive and among them, Andy helped or assisted me in many ways and shared his working knowledge and experience with me. He was the team leader and leaded the team efficiently by helping his subordinates complete their work successfully. He has a great knowledge in law and from him I understood that to be successful one has to study and work hard. I also learned during my tenure of course the importance of maintain a proper decorum in work place and also the importance of being polite and having patience. In a work place, understanding fellow colleagues feelings and appreciating their ideas and thinking is also important that helps one to have a good relation with his or her colleague. The values and practices in an organization is of utmost importance and the New Zealand Fresh Water Ltd has a very good working culture that is conducive for the growth and develop ment of a trainee like me (Freeman et al., 2013). Communication with various people from various backgrounds also make the working environment very interesting and helps in fruitful exchange of ideas and thoughts. However, the essay thoroughly discusses my experience of industry based learning at New Zealand Fresh Water Ltd and eventually brings up the collaborative form that helped me in assessment of my skills and competencies, further. The collaborative assessment meeting helped me gain some valuable feedbacks about my performance in my work place. Points like, learning more accounting software and working under pressure helped me to focus on these points and develop them. The essay therefore fully depicts my industry based learning experience.
